KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6 (Bernama) -- The ringgit extended its rally against the US dollar in early trading Wednesday on strong commercial demand for the local currency, dealers said.
Currency bid prices at 9:55 a.m. (1455 GMT). All data taken from Reuters calculated from the levels at 4:30 p.m.(2030 GMT) in the previous New York session.
SINGAPORE (XFN-ASIA) - The US dollar dipped in afternoon trading here as the market anticipated the European Central Bank (ECB) meeting later today and as it reacted to a report by the Chinese central bank on the risks of dollar declines, dealers said.
At 9.56 am (2256 GMT Wednesday), the dollar was at 115.34 yen, up from 115.21 in late New York trading, while the euro was at 1.3280 usd, down from 1.3286.
NEW YORK, Dec 7 (Reuters) - The euro was little changed against the dollar on Thursday as the European Central Bank lowered its forecast for inflation, an indication it may not raise interest rates again as soon as expected.
Traders\' focus is now on tonight\'s key US nonfarm payrolls report which should dictate the general direction for the greenback into next week and the remainder of 2006.
