SINGAPORE (XFN-ASIA) - The US dollar remained under pressure in afternoon trade here, ending the day near its weakest levels against the euro and yen, although overall trading ranges were fairly narrow, dealers said.
THE euro soared against the US dollar overnight in volatile trading which saw the euro surpass the $US1.30 mark, hitting the highest level against the US currency since April 2005, traders said.
LONDON - The euro climbed above 1.30 usd after breaking key resistance levels in relatively light trading. The euro was at 1.3065 usd at 8.59 am, up from 1.2970 in Singapore earlier.
